A Swiss-based company wants to make the mobile phone the new must-have luxury product for women - trying to make it more enticing to them than expensive shoes and pricey handbags.
The are 11 smartphones in the collection mostly costing from £5,868 to £6,378. The price tag is so high because the products are made using rare leathers such as blue ostrich, black alligator and iguana along with 18-carat gold and are embellished precious stones.
The range also includes a phone, the 'Black Insane' model for a truly insane price - £76,543 - because is is set with 75 baguette-cut diamonds.
Savelli CEO Alessandro Savelli told WWD that they are targetting women with their smartphone collection that will run on the Google Android platform.
